SINGAPORE (Oct 29):  Award-winning Swiss watch brand Tudor has become more accessible with the opening of a boutique at Tangs. The store’s prime location and huge windows facing busy Orchard Road draws many curious onlookers. Tudor has used this position to its full advantage with posters featuring #BornToDare campaign ambassadors such as David Beckham, Lady Gaga, Jay Chou and Beauden Barrett. An outstanding feature is the bright signature red and black colours that will definitely catch the attention of shoppers. This new concept is a refreshing and modern way to reach out to a different mix of customers in a department store setting. The boutique is a partnership with Singapore’s leading luxury watch retailer, The Hour Glass.

Be bold
With every new collection, Lacoste stays true to its sporting DNA. For the Fall/Winter 2018 collection, the company presents a sporty take on the colour-blocking trend of the 1980s and 1990s by giving it its own modern spin with bold striped designs in red, white and blue.

Pleasing contrast
Two materials — bronze and ceramic — are used to make the beautiful Rado HyperChrome Automatic Chronograph. The ceramic case is lightweight, scratch-resistant and hypoallergenic. The 45mm model features chronograph pushers crafted in bronze. Rose-gold coloured hands and indexes are used to set off the subtle metallic sheen of the bronze. As the bronze ages, it forms a handsome contrast to the flawless ceramic surface of the case. Limited to 999 pieces, this is Rado’s signature allday, every-occasion timepiece for men.

Symbol of love
The Love Bracelet — arguably one of Cartier’s best-known pieces — is a symbol of commitment and love. Created in New York in the 1970s, this elegant and simple piece of jewellery has been worn by celebrity couples such as Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, Ali MacGraw and Steve McQueen.

Droplets of hydration
Australian skincare brand Canvas has released the Rose Otto Concentrated Hydration Serum, which provides moisture to the skin to prevent premature ageing. The serum contains natural ingredients such as oil from the Bulgarian Rose Damascena. The product is available at www.canvasbeauty.com.sg.

Salute to the past
For the Longines Heritage Military collection, the brand dug deep into its past — to the watch of the 1940s that was designed for the British Royal Air Force. The watch was first worn by Stanley Turner, a highly decorated radiotelegraph operator aboard an RAF aircraft during the World War II. Turner’s watch was offered to the Swiss brand by a young English collector, who inspired the current reissue. It is a timeless design that needs no major overhaul; the dial on the watch has been hand-sprayed to give it that aged patina look. The timepiece runs on a mechanical self-winding movement.
