For women too
The Fear of God exclusively by Ermenegildo Zegna collection launch was well attended by the likes of Michael B Jordan, Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union, Usher, Quincy Brown and Samantha Brown. The event was held at Zegna’s boutique in Beverley Hills, California, and guests were treated to a private walkthrough of the exhibition featuring the collection — designed by Zegna’s artistic director, Alessandro Sartori; and Fear Of God founder Jerry Lorenzo — followed by a one-on- one in-person styling appointment at the boutique. Our takeaway is that Zegna is not just for men only; women can rock the look too — here, Union wears a black wool one-button jacket with hidden cuffs, denim, black crewneck shirt, and leather slip-ons, all by Fear of God exclusively for Ermenegildo Zegna.

The colours of spring
To get his inspiration for the Spring/Summer 2021 collection, creative director Paul Andrew at Salvatore Ferragamo turned to the thrillers of Alfred Hitchcock, which he watched while he was in lockdown. The clothes, shoes and accessories are made for the heroines and heroes from movies such as Marnie, The Birds and Vertigo. While the movies may be in black and white, Andrew’s collection is enlivened by Technicolour hues.
Going global for good
Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams showed up on the red carpet with the mandatory mask while wearing Cartier jewellery. The English actress was at the Monte- Carlo For Planetary Health event, which raises funds for the organisation that protects the environment and promotes sustainable development. Williams wore the Reflection de Cartier ring and bracelet encrusted in diamonds and set in white gold.
A blooming bouquet
Tom Ford is back with his latest scent: Rose Prick, featuring a trilogy of beautiful roses. There’s Bulgarian rose, one of the rarest varieties of rose in the world, with over a million blossoms required to make one kg of rose oil; Rose de Mai, and the fruity Turkish rose. The sharp fire of Sichuan pepper and the ginger-like spice of turmeric extract adds depth to the classical floral fragrance, giving it a unique Tom Ford twist.
Theatre meets fashion
Moschino stages a unique fashion show — a well- choreographed theatre experience without any models as safe distancing practices are observed. Creative director Jeremy Scott’s Moschino Spring/Summer 2021 womenswear collection features mannequins created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. The marionettes, were filmed walking through rooms in a classic salon-style fashion show. The designs feature corset-boning, panels, darts, trims and more. Dresses are carefully crafted inversely, while tulle under-skirts extend beyond hemlines, creating unconventional proportions and silhouettes.
