From now till Sept 15, take advantage of the durian season and dig into an all-you-can-eat durian buffet at Food Capital in Grand Copthorne Waterfront. Going for just $38++, durian enthusiasts can look forward to fresh durian opened for you.
Options had the opportunity to try out this buffet and it was just delightful. We loved how the durians were consistently of quality and if you prefer your durian to be on the sweeter side or more bitter, just tell the “durian uncle” manning the durian booth and he will expertly open one to suit your preference.
If you’re looking to dig into more than just the king of fruits, Food Capital also has its international buffet that is happening alongside the durian one. The dinner buffet will feature creative dishes cooked with durian, such as the creamy Gratin Parmigiana Durian, Durian and Corn Pizza and the unique Durian “Kampong Fried Rice”.
For some durian desserts, treat your taste buds to the sweet Durian Gula Melaka Kueh Dadar and cool down with Milk Bingsu with Durian Ice Cream and condiments.
Of course, there are the classic favourites available at the international buffet, such as chicken rice, laksa, cold seafood, Indian delights, Japanese treats and many more. The creamy and spicy laksa was a personal favourite that is served with cockles, while the Japanese tempura dishes were very enjoyable.
