In a meeting of culinary excellence, Michelin-starred Summer Palace at Conrad Singapore Orchard is joining hands with Chengdu’s Silver Pot for an exclusive dining experience, aptly named A Southern Confluence. This gastronomic journey, taking place on Dec 5 and 6, 2024, promises to redefine Chinese cuisine by blending the sophistication of Cantonese flavors with the bold vibrancy of Sichuan gastronomy.

Summer Palace, under the leadership of executive chef Liu Ching Hai, has long been celebrated as one of the top Cantonese restaurants in Singapore. Meanwhile, Silver Pot, helmed by executive chef Liu Run Zhong, brings innovation to Sichuan cuisine, earning accolades like the Michelin star and Black Pearl One Diamond award. Together, they present a six-course menu that marries tradition and modern artistry.

The specially curated menu features signature creations from both culinary teams. From Silver Pot, diners can savour the Guaiwei “Strange Flavour” Wagyu Beef and Daqian Dry Braised Fish Maw, dishes that highlight Sichuan cuisine’s penchant for bold and luxurious ingredients. Summer Palace adds its own flair with the Deep-Fried Chicken Wing with Bird’s Nest and Parma Ham, showcasing the intricate textures and delicate balance of Cantonese cuisine.

Each course is complemented by an exclusive selection of Chinese wines, including the elegant Silver Heights “Jia Yuan” Pinot Noir 2021 and Kanaan Chapter and Verse “Mastery” Chardonnay 2016. Guests will also enjoy Silver Pot’s signature Sichuan Flower Pepper Tea, which promises to enhance the nuanced flavours of the meal.

Priced at $188 per person, with an optional wine pairing at $98++, seats are limited for this two-day exclusive event. To secure your place at A Southern Confluence, visit Conrad Singapore Orchard’s website, email [email protected], or call +65 6725 3288.
