BMW tantalises our senses with the “Seven Senses” experience, which takes us on an epicurean journey as exquisite as our ride in the i7.
Singapore - At its most elemental level, a car is at best tangential in the realm of luxury, because in this segment, it is all about emotional and evocative experiences, as opposed to the empirical. And there are few things as emotional as the act of eating, especially if the company is as convivial as the culinary delights served.
From the brief, “Seven Senses by BMW” had all the hallmarks of a great afternoon out.
Pick-up and drop-off in the all-electric i7 eDrive50 M Sport. Then we would be transported to a “secret location” surrounded by lush greenery, which turned out to be a gorgeous colonial black-white bungalow along Adam Road.

The prelude to lunch was a selection of bespoke cocktails (or mocktails) as we immersed ourselves in several stations designed to engage our emotions.

The highlight was the seven-course meal by Chef Woo Wai Leong of Restaurant Ibid, where the dishes were artfully curated to help us delve into our familiar five senses, with an additional two to symbolise Time and Art.
We were also presented with a thoughtful selection of wines from around the world by decorated sommelier, Yeo Xi Yang, which was a fitting complement to the meal.
Last but not least, our dining group enjoyed the company of Mr. Renzo Vitale (pictured above), Creative Director of Sound Design for BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce.
