Legion of Racers adds Singapore Sports Hub circuit to the sim-racing track roster of the HyperDrive Cities Championship 2024
Singapore - It's pretty cool for racing sim fans to be able to drive through familiar locations and landmarks of interest in their respective countries.
However, it's even cooler for global sim racers to be able to check out the sights and sounds abroad without having to leave the comfort of their sim-racing rigs... or even as a precursor to their trips abroad.
Homegrown e-sports and lifestyle brand, Legion of Racers (or LOR for short) has unveiled snapshots of the all-new Singapore Sports Hub digital twin track, a new addition to the the HyperDrive Cities (HDC) Championship 2024 sim-racing track roster.

The 4.1km long Singapore Sports Hub track is the fourth addition to the series developed by LOR, having previously rendered the Orchard Road Street Circuit, the Jakarta Semanggi Circuit and the Kuala Lumpur Street Circuit.
The development of the tracks utilise LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) data, photogrammetry scan, and thousands of on-site photos to capture every detail and angle, which results in a highly realistic racing environment.

Part of the Singapore Sports Hub race-circuit includes a seciton that runs through the heart of the stadium itself, as well as past the historic Old Kallang Airport, which adds a touch of nostalgia to the racing proceedings.
The HDC Championship 2024 is set to take place at the end of 2024, following the F1 season.
2023 HDC title winner Mr. Moreno Pratama is looking forward to racing within the digital twin of the Singapore Sports Hub, a Singapore national icon.
“The venue itself is quite amazing, and I have read so much about how concerts by superstars like Taylor Swift and Coldplay have attracted thousands of fans to the venue. It will be really fun to race through Singapore’s National Stadium, while I try to retain my title,” said the Indonesian.
Mr. Melvin Moh, Co-Founder of the Legion of Racers, said, “We are constantly looking at innovative ways to keep HDC participants engaged and entertained while they challenge for the title. The Singapore Sports Hub track helps us to reimagine how the venue can be utilised for a race within the venue, if the opportunity ever arises at some point in the future.”
“Our next project will take racers to Changi Airport. It is a complex endeavour involving detailed modelling of numerous buildings and assets, but we aim to complete it within the next year or two,” said Mr. Moh.
The HyperDrive Cities Championship brings sim racing to the (virtual) streets by turning cities and other familiar urban spaces into race circuits.
