Fashion shows are for the fashion buyers, critics, bloggers, and celebrities and personalities who watch it to select their wardrobe for the next big red-carpet event. Singapore fashion festival The Front Row (TFR) ticks all these boxes and this year, the event goes virtual.
Included are a free-to-view format that allows every guest to enjoy the fashion shows, live interviews, panel talks and hands-on workshops, from your very own “front-row seat”. The inaugural 10-day festival sees the participation of 21 local labels with nine Asian brands that will take this opportunity to showcase their amazing talents.
TFR is the local fashion industry’s first venture into a 360° 3D virtual environment of this scale. It allows viewers to experience fashion in a virtual 360° setting, as the web portal curates 3D environments and spaces as virtual villages.
Guests can also look forward to other digital formats such as virtual runway shows with 2D and 3D motion-graphic animations, live-streaming of panel talks and interactive workshops, and virtual galleries, to experience and interact with during the festival run.

Vocal for local: Supporting our homegrown labels will spotlight 21 homegrown labels showcasing their latest collection, ranging from womenswear, menswear, swimwear, jewellery and accessories — all on an immersive virtual platform.
Nurturing a borderless Asian fashion exchange features the collections of designers from Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand, ranging from ready-towear, demi-couture to couture.
The next wave: NAFA fashion graduates showcase aims to promote an inclusive environment within the fashion industry and support budding fashion designers. TFR will showcase the intuitive and original womenswear and menswear designs of 22 NAFA fashion graduates.
Fashion exhibition: ‘Splat, splash, squish, swish illustrated’ by Rui Liang and Gary Goh is an online exhibition that adopts fashion as a virtual visual language. It features the works of fashion photographer Liang and fashion illustrator Goh.

Elohim by Sabrina Goh (Aka Sabrinagoh) features an interplay between menswear and womenswear, Elohim purifies and subverts conscious detailing from both ends of the spectrum. Every collection expresses a distinct voice to present innovative explorations that meditate on each season’s thematic inspiration.
Ginlee Studio strikes the right balance when it comes to creating a functional wardrobe that transcends time and trends and being conscious about the impact on the environment. Expect everyday wardrobe essentials and reinvented classics with a hint of quirk or in a pop of colour.
Maisha Concept was launched to create awareness of various cultures and traditions across the globe through textiles and fashion. Every collection is handcrafted by local artisans using traditional methods to create contemporary pieces.
Graye is a ready-to-wear men’s and unisex clothing label that advocates modern zen lifestyle with pieces that are minimally designed and blend Eastern and Western fashion elements.
ITT Swim is a luxurious swimwear collection that produces bikinis made with the finest Italian fabrics and handmade on the island of Bali. The materials used in the production are from a supplier that has implemented several innovative environmental policies aimed at creating a truly sustainable supply chain.
Holtan Vibes production is done in small batches and is never hasty, due to the limitations of handmade processes and they prioritise minimal fabric waste.
