The heavy downpour did not dampen the spirit of hosts and guests as they made their way to Preludio for an evening hosted by Breguet and Benham & Reeves that took us on a journey that ignited our sense of sight, sound, smell, taste and touch.

The 3D topography featuring the properties in Switzerland

Fabien Levrion, vice-president Swatch Group for Breguet, spoke about the exquisite timepieces on display and invited guests to touch and feel the history. From the Classique to the Reine de Naples, timepieces that date back to 1775 when it was founded by Abraham-Louis Breguet linked his destiny to that of the French Navy and became a member of the Bureau des Longitudes by royal decree.

A year later, King Louis XVIII awarded Breguet one of the most honourable titles of the era — that of the watchmaker to the Royal Navy. It may be a lesson in history but it linked it back to the present-day collection which Levrion was more than happy to share with the invited guests who had shown a keen interest with their list of questions.

Next, our sense of sight was treated to the beautiful 3D plan of the properties for sale in the Swiss Alps. Doris Tan, regional director for Benham & Reeves spoke at great lengths about the many advantages of purchasing a unit located in the picture-postcard town in the Andermatt Swiss Alps.

Lobster tail on a bed of hearts of palm and coconut

Chef Fernando Arévalo designed the dinner menu, and our sense of taste and smell was woken up by dishes such as beef striploin and the faultless lobster tail on a bed of hearts of palm and coconut.
All throughout the evening, in the background, we had a cellist giving us beautiful renditions of some popular tunes that completed our journey of the senses.
