More than 2,000 guests attended the US Embassy's event at Universal Studios Singapore to mark Independence Day. His Excellency Jonathan Kaplan, the U.S. Ambassador to Singapore, hosted the event alongside Members of Parliament, Darryl David and Rachel Ong.

This year's U.S. Embassy’s Fourth of July event, which marked the largest celebration in its 57-year history in the city-state, was dedicated to commemorating the strong bond between the United States and Singapore. U.S. Ambassador Jonathan Kaplan expressed his gratitude for the enduring friendship between the two nations and Singapore's active role in fostering prosperity, innovation, and shared values in Asia and beyond. The event served as a testament to the ever-growing partnership and collaboration between the United States and Singapore, strengthening ties and promoting mutual prosperity.

Ambassador Kaplan said, "As we celebrate our nation's independence today, I urge you all to reflect on the profound ties of our past and the boundless potential that lies ahead. Remember this—The United States is not only your trusted friend but also your steadfast partner. We have stood side by side with Singapore for over 55 years, and our journey together continues to soar. The region, including Singapore, will undoubtedly reap the rewards of the United States' continued growth and progress." With that said, Ambassador Kaplan reaffirmed the enduring friendship and collaborative spirit between the United States and Singapore, emphasizing the bright prospects that lie on the horizon.

Singaporean YouTube personality Annette Lee and her husband Raphael Foo try their hand at carnival games at Sci Fi City.
