Meet Rayne Chua and Robin Chan, winners of the “most inspiring property agents” category. They were chosen among the many by three industry leaders

In a month-long campaign, property giant PropNex, Bobby Sng Advisory and German luxury fashion brand BOSS joined forces to find two inspiring property agents. Award-winning Bobby Sng conducts training for various property-related programmes including PropNex International (Project Elite) and PropNex Realty.

After a month-long social media campaign where the public voted for their favourite candidates, the team finally found two of the best: Rayne Chua and Robin Chan. Here, the winners share with Options their journey to success and how they want to inspire others.

Tell us a bit more about what you do as a property agent.
I mainly do consultancy work with my clients, understand- ing their needs and helping them to achieve their financial and property goals. The role I play as a property agent is to help them to grow their wealth through proper real estate planning.

You were voted as an inspiring agent. What does that accolade mean to you?
I am very fortunate to be able to inspire others, especially the younger generation of agents who join the industry looking to create something for themselves. Knowing that what I do has changed other people’s lives, I am glad to do what I do.

How would you inspire others?

I inspire others through my own life journey — that through hard work and some guidance, you can achieve anything that you set your heart on.

Who inspires you?

The management team at PropNex have greatly inspired me and serve as my role model for how I should carry myself and serve my clients better. The management team’s aspirations to be the best at what they do, and to add value to our clients, have inspired me to do the same for my own clients.

What is your go-to wardrobe for work and for leisure?

My go-to wardrobe for work can be summed up as “Simple yet professional”. While maintaining a professional im- age, I also want to be comfortable in what I wear. As for leisure, while being comfortable, having a presentable look is key to me.

Did you find the BOSS wardrobe a good fit for you? Why?
Definitely! Hugo Boss wardrobe has a wide range of seasonal collections that enables me to achieve the ideal image, regardless at work or while enjoying my leisure time. The variety in their collection gives me options to choose from, allowing me to look good and feel good at the same time.

Tell us about the experience you had when trying on different outfits.
Having tried out the different outfits, I am confident that with BOSS, I am able to present myself in the best way at any event, either for professional or leisure settings. The tasteful design and attention to detail allow me to shine in a BOSS outfit for any occasion by giving me confidence in the way I present myself.

What’s coming up for you in the next six months?

Recently, my team was just promoted to division level, the Rayne Chua Division. In the next six months, I hope to be able to inspire and nurture more aspiring property agents, growing my team further to create synergies and ultimately serving our clients better.

Besides that, I am building my brand, Rain or Shine Property, and I hope for it to become a household name — a name that people will recognise and think of when they have any real estate needs to be resolved. With our Umbrella Approach, we hope to provide a formula for our clients to achieve their property goals, come rain or shine.

Tell us a bit more about what you do as a property agent.
I started out as a part-time agent in 2007 and turned full-time in 2015. My geographic target area (GTA) was my focus when I became full time as I wanted to build sales but more importantly a network. My GTA was at District 5 which covers the Clementi, West Coast and Pasir Panjang areas. Eventually, after two to three years, I went into the Core Central Region which covers Districts 9 and 10 (the Orchard area), mainly focusing on new launches and projects.

You were voted as an inspiring agent. What does that accolade mean to you?
I am surprised and honoured to be voted as an inspiring agent by my peers. There are many other outstanding agents out there. To me, this vote is just the beginning. I hope I can inspire more agents, especially the young generation.

How would you inspire others?

The willingness and selflessness to share. For example, I usually share some of my deal closings on Facebook and agents will approach me to ask me how I close the deals. I’m more than happy and willing to share the pro- cess with them.

Who inspires you?

Kelvin Thong, who is my upline manager, inspires me. He has an unusually high and positive energy. I think this is very important for every real estate agent. We need to have consistent energy to survive in this challenging and dynamic environment.

What is your go-to wardrobe for work and for leisure?

For work, it’s smart casual like a T-shirt, jeans and jacket. For leisure, it will be just a T-shirt and jeans.

Did you find the BOSS wardrobe a good fit for you? Why?
I think the BOSS wardrobe suits my work outfit, especially the jacket which I think is pretty cool and trendy.

Tell us about the experience you had when trying on different outfits.
The experience was good! The BOSS staff are very professional and gave me advice about what suits me. I was trying on a lot of different outfits and they were very nice and patient. Two thumbs up for them.

What’s coming up for you in the next six months?

I have a certain goal and sales target planned from the be- ginning of this year. I have had a pretty good run for the first half of this year. Currently, I’m probably about 40% towards achieving my goal. I will continue to focus and hustle to achieve the goal I have set for myself.
