Tablescape
Consider a family day out at Tablescape Restaurant and Bar, with their specially curated promotions for the little ones’ week off from school. Located within Grand Park City Hall, Tablescape brings its modern European cuisine to their youngest diners this month.
From March 6 to 21, Tablescape unveils two kids’ menus, welcoming children as VIPs with special privileges on the house.
Tablescape’s March Holiday Afternoon Tea set for two welcomes kids aged nine and below with a complimentary DIY cupcake decoration kit.
Diners enjoy freshly baked scones and sesame brioche buns, savoury choux pastry buns stuffed with creamy lemon-scented chicken salad, and buttery sable bretons, or butter cookies, topped with foie gras, smoked duck and apple.
The March Holiday Afternoon Tea is available from 3pm to 5pm daily at $58++ for two with tea, coffee or sodas; or at $88++ for two with two flutes of champagne.
Aside from teatime, kids get to enjoy gastronomic treats at lunch or dinner with the complimentary Kid’s Menu.
Each child is offered a two-course culinary experience, gratis, for every $90++ spent between two adults. For the little connoisseur, four delicious mains are available for their selection: Gnocchi with a wholesome sauce made of tomatoes and mozzarella, classic Fish & Chips of battered sea bass, mesclun salad and fries, the Margherita Pizza topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil, and the Kids Burger, made with Wagyu beef patty.
To close the meal, Tablescape offers a choice of desserts: kids can complete the meal with a slice of cheesecake, a platter of seasonal fruits or a scoop of ice cream. D’Penyetz
Here is something for the adventurous chilli lovers — D’Penyetz is a growing Indonesian franchise taking root across Southeast Asia, and they have opened up branches here in Singapore.
Since opening its flagship store in Downtown East last October, D’Penyetz has opened its second outlet at Jurong East mall Jem, serving quality ayam penyet (smashed fried chicken) with fiery sambal imported from Jakarta. Served with fried tofu and tempeh, go for the signature Ayam Penyet D’Penyetz ($7.50), or take your pick from the Halal-certified eatery’s fried fish selection.
D’Penyetz offers five levels of spicy sambal, from sambal hijau (Minang green chilli sauce) to the sambal judes, labelled “dangerously spicy”. According to its owner, five additional levels of spicy sambal will be unveiled soon, offering a scale of 10 chillies to choose from.

Goodman Open House 2021
Following the last physical edition in 2019, Goodman Open House returns — this time virtually.
Audiences can discover how nature inspires art, pick up art-making skills and explore visual works in the virtual edition of Goodman Open House 2021.
From March 12, enjoy a range of programmes from the comfort of your home.
The Goodman Community Farm was reactivated and redesigned, as part of a collaborative partnership between Goodman Arts Centre and Cultivate Central in November 2019. The space provides a conducive environment for artists and visitors to engage in community gardening, urban farming, hand-on workshops and provide opportunities for collaboration.
Through a series of five digital videos, audiences can get a glimpse of how nature in this farm inspires the work of Goodman Art Centre’s resident artists, from sculptors to comic artists.
In addition, explore a range of works by Goodman Art Centre’s resident visual artists via a digital gallery, or gather the kids for fun arts and crafts sessions.
