DRINK
A journey through time
ATLAS
Atlas invites guests on an immersive journey through 1925 Paris with its new drinking menu, titled La Grande Nation. This follows ATLAS’ previous menu, Interbellum, which was awarded a Spirited Award for World’s Best Cocktail Menu at Tales of the Cocktail 2020. La Grande Nation is a joint creation by head bartender Jesse Vida and his team.
The new menu features authentic antique items, which have been incorporated into the manu’s maps, postcards and brochures. Presented across four whimsical chapters, the menu takes guests on a voyage through the Art Deco period, as societal norms crumble in the face of the new.
Highlights include the Vendôme Spritz ($23), with Japanese gin, triple citrus cordial, dry vermouth, grapefruit and rosemary tonic; and Pearl Revival ($24), with English gin, rose aperitif, spiced pear, calvados and thyme. Each chapter also features an alcohol-free drink.
The menu also features an extensive gin and tonic selection; ATLAS classics such as the ATLAS Martini ($25) and the ATLAS Gimlet ($25); as well as the ATLAS Vintage menu, featuring Vintage Martinis ($50–250), the Vintage Negroni ($250) and the Vintage White Lady ($200) made with gins dating as far back as 1910. “This is our first menu at ATLAS where we have had the entire bar team involved in the creation and development of the drinks,” says Jesse Vida, head bartender at ATLAS.
“The immersive storyline of La Grande Nation inspired the team, with 1925 being the height of the golden age of fine drinking, and the Expo in Paris a pivotal moment that launched Art Deco on to the world stage. ATLAS is open Mondays through Saturdays. For more information, visit www.atlasbar.sg.
