The Hour Glass is announcing IAMWATCH, an intimately scaled four-day programme designed for the Pan-Asian watch-collecting community. Set in Singapore, this event promises a relaxed and casual environment where watch enthusiasts and collectors can engage face-to-face with watchmakers and industry luminaries.

In 2004, The Hour Glass AGS launched “Tempus—The Great Watchscapade,” one of the watch world's first enthusiast-facing expositions. Two decades later, IAMWATCH builds on this legacy, aiming to foster a deeper connection within the watch community. Michael Tay, group managing director of The Hour Glass, says, "The story of time stretches back over two millennia, and the evolution of the portable watch spans the last 500 years. Our desire at IAMWATCH is to lay a foundation of knowledge about the developmental path of horological science and the watchmaking arts. We hope that all delegates leave IAMWATCH enriched by the human connections they have made, educated by the lectures and plenary sessions we have proposed, and motivated to continue down this joyous path of watch collecting into the future."

IAMWATCH will feature a curated presentation of more than 40 prominent figures in the watch community, a series of fireside chats, horological lectures, and numerous community activations. The event will kick off with a private view by invitation on Thursday, Oct 17, from 3.00pm to 5.00pm followed by a Vernissage from 5.00pm to 8.00pm. The event will be open to the public from Oct 18 to 20 between 10.00am and 8.00pm. Admission is free, but guests are requested to pre-register for e-tickets at iamwatch.com.

The event will be held at the newly opened The Singapore EDITION hotel, the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. Situated at the upper end of Orchard Road and a short walk from the Botanic Gardens. Participants. are encouraged to embrace the event's unique dress code of 'Double-wristed, Resort casual,' by wearing watches on both wrists.

Notable participants include Alain Silberstein, Alex Ghotbi, Emmanuel Esposito, Felix Baumgartner, Kari Voutilainen, Maximilian Büsser and many others.
