The much-sought-after BR 03 Diver turns seven this year, and with it come changes that divers will appreciate. These changes include a ceramic insert and movement that guarantees increased durability and a power reserve of 54 hours. The watch runs on the BR-CAL.302-1 automatic winding mechanism, beating at a frequency of 28,800 alternations per hour (4 Hz). All BR 03 DIVER watches are water-resistant to a depth of 300 meters.
Aesthetically, the watch now features a new typography and redesigned hands for optimal legibility, even in challenging underwater conditions. Carlos Rosillo, President, and co-founder of Bell & Ross, says that the new BR 03 DIVER watches comply with the international ISO 6425 standard, which specifies that a watch must withstand submersion in water to a depth of at least 100 meters and must have a time monitoring system. Furthermore, watch markings must remain visible from 25 cm in the dark underwater.
Bell & Ross is renowned for creating instrument watches designed as quality tools for professional divers. Other features require the watch to be operationally tested underwater at a depth of 30 cm (+/- 2 cm) for 50 hours, within temperatures between 18°C and 25°C. At the end of this testing period, the mechanisms must still function correctly. Watches are also tested to ensure they are not sensitive to thermal shock, that they resist overpressure in water, and that condensation does not form under various conditions.
Collectors will be pleased to know that five new models in the BR 03 DIVER have been released:

BR 03 White Steel
The BR 03 Diver Steel collection, featuring a 42 x 42 mm case in polished, satin-finished steel, is available in three colour options: black, white, and blue. Each variant includes a unidirectional rotating bezel with a graduated 60-minute scale, now improved with a ceramic insert matching the dial's colour. Additionally, the hands and indices have been redesigned to enhance readability, while the ultra-resistant rubber or synthetic canvas strap has been revamped for a more discreet appearance and increased comfort.
BR 03 Diver Black Matte
The BR 03 Diver Black Matte has been subtly redesigned to offer significant enhancements in readability and performance. A standout feature of the BR 03 Diver Black Matte is its two-part bezel construction, with both the bezel itself and its insert crafted from ceramics. The insert now shares the same enhancements in resistance and readability as the steel models. Enthusiasts will also notice the enlarged typography on the graduated scale. Similar to the new BR 03 Diver in steel, the BR 03 Diver Black Matte benefits from the updated design of the hands, larger indices, and the new rubber strap.
Bell & Ross BR 03 Diver Full Lum
Since its launch in 2020, the Bell & Ross BR 03 Diver Full Lum has made a significant impact with its striking aesthetics and luminosity. The dial is now adorned with pale blue Super-LumiNova® (emitting blue light), while the indices and arrow-shaped, skeletonized hour and minute hands are coated in white Super-LumiNova® (emitting green light). It is important to highlight that the new BR 03 Diver Full Lum is no longer a limited edition but has transitioned into an essential part of the permanent BR 03 Diver range.
