Vacheron Constantin launched the Égérie self-winding model in 2020. This was followed a year later with the Égérie self-winding diamond-pavé timepiece. Both these collections for women are stunning and elegant
For a Maison founded in 1755, Vacheron Constantin clearly leads the way when it comes to creating timepieces for women. Just this past few years, the Égérie comes in two variations: the Égérie self-winding timepiece is swathed in a supple new bracelet in 18K 5N pink gold. On the other hand, the Égérie self-winding diamond-pavé piece is a chic and classic design that appears to be draped in precious diamonds.
Égérie self-winding timepiece
The Égérie is inspired by the world of haute couture and the aesthetic sophistication inherited from Vacheron Constantin’s heritage, the Égérie self-winding watch celebrates the collection’s unique style. For example, the new 18K 5N pink gold bracelet holds the 35mm case with 18K 5N pink gold pebble rimmed with 58 diamonds.
Adding to the feminine touch is the silvered opaline dial that has a “pleats” pattern that uses the tapestry technique. This was done using a machine that dates back to 1904. The engravings are delicately applied in such a way that reveals a subtle play of textures and depth that resemble a precious fabric.
On the dial is the leaf-type hands that make their way around the scripted numerals that look like finely scalloped lace embroidery. The diamond-set date display is offset along a diagonal line running between Vacheron Constantin’s signature and the crown, adorned with a moonstone.
Égérie self-winding diamond-pavé models
Just last year, Vacheron Constantin built on the Égérie self-winding with a model that finds itself at the crossroads between Haute Horlogerie and Haute Couture. The Égérie self-winding diamond-pavé is a chic and classic design that appears to be draped in a couture gown while maintaining its signature asymmetrical displays.
The Égérie self-winding diamond-pavé watch shines with 303 diamonds that sit on the slender bezel, flanks, lugs, and even inter-lugs of its 35mm-diameter case in 18K white gold or 18K 5N pink gold. Even the gold dial sparkles with the same brilliance with an astounding 574 diamonds. The dial features the offset date appearing in a diagonal formed by the Vacheron Constantin logo and the crown positioned between one and two o’clock, that is topped with a rose-cut diamond. Set among the curves and interlaced circles is the 18K gold Arabic numerals scalloped like fine lace and swept over by slim gold hands.
The watch easily evolves from day to night with an interchangeable strap that enables the
wearer to change the look: satin or satin-effect alligator leather, night blue coloured for the white gold version; candied chestnut coloured for the pink gold model. Once chosen, the strap is simply and easily clipped to the case in a smooth tool-free move. The gold pin buckles mounted on each strap, set with 17 diamonds, provide the perfect finishing touch.
To keep the Égérie self-winding diamond-pavé timepiece ticking is the calibre 1088, a self-winding Manufacture movement with a 40-hour power reserve. The sapphire crystal on the caseback allows an amazing view of the Haute Horlogerie finishes: a hand-crafted Côtes de Genève motif and an opened 22K gold oscillating weight inspired by the shape of the Maltese cross.
