Club privileges

Hilton has signed a management agreement with Vietnam’s hospitality and real estate development company Sun Group to launch a new resort under Curio Collection by Hilton in Phu Quoc, Vietnam.

Curio Collection has over 100 hand-picked hotels and resorts around the world for you to choose from and each offers a one-of-a-kind stay experience with unique amenities and services.

Set to open in Phu Quoc in 2023, the 197-key La Festa Phu Quoc, Curio Collection by Hilton, will represent Hilton’s first resort in the country. Located 20km from the Phu Quoc International Airport, the resort will sit within the Sun Premier Village Primavera, a local tourist attraction which reflects elements of the iconic Amalfi town of Italy.

Another is the La Festa Phu Quoc, Curio Collection by Hilton, which will feature architecture and design reflective of its surroundings. Guests who prefer to dine in the resort will have access to a wide selection of cuisine from an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant, a lobby lounge and a bar. Travellers opting to stay in can enjoy the resort’s pool, fitness centre and spa while young guests can spend their time in the kids’ club.

Cruising along

We are all missing a holiday on the high seas and here are some from the Regent Seven Seas Cruises you may want to consider: the Seven Seas Explorer sails from Trieste, Italy; Seven Seas Mariner resumes sailing on Dec 18 from Miami, Florida as will Seven Seas Navigator on Jan 6, 2022. Finally, Seven Seas Voyager will return on Feb 15, 2022 from Barcelona, Spain.
To keep travellers safe, the company has launched the multi-layered Sail- SAFE health & safety programme. This is a robust and science-backed strategy that creates multiple layers of protection against Covid-19.

The great escape

Enjoy some “me” time on a private Island hideaway of Lhaviyani atoll in the Maldives. The Kanuhura resort offers 80 private overwater, beach and spacious family villas offering sunset or sunrise views. Just 40 minutes on a seaplane from the main international airport on Malé and you will arrive in paradise.

Kanuhura has already been recognised as the Best Luxury Resort in the Maldives at the Luxury Lifestyle Awards and Best of the Best in the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice. The resort is already planning to upgrade the overwater villas to include private pools, new family suites, new dining concepts and a pioneering wellness offering.

Below the water, the Lhaviyani atoll offers more than 40 dive sites for exploring marine life. In time to meet the travellers coming through, new watersport activities and high-performance equipment will be added.

Apart from that, the new organic herb garden will feature vegetables, herbs and salad leaves that are collected fresh each day to use in the restaurants.

Your private getaway

Banwa private island is situated in the northeastern Palawan in the Sulu Sea and has a verdant landscape with pristine white sands.

The island is now accessible via plane under an Ascent Flights Global (Ascent) partnership.

Guests are whisked away on a seamless travel bubble for on-demand private flights using seaplanes, helicopters and private jets as needed. Guests can take a 1 hour 45 minute seaplane flight from Manila, seating up to eight passengers and landing directly in front of Banwa Private Island’s house reef.
Alternatively, they can take a 10-seater helicopter from Manila Ninoy Air- port or one of three airports of San Vicente, Puerto Princesa or El Nido on Palawan across the Sulu Sea.

Tea time in Paris

Envious of the scenes in Emily in Paris? Treat yourself to a Parisian institution, Café Antonia that has a belle époque atmosphere at Le Bristol. The tea-time menu will showcase the exquisite talent of Le Bristol Paris’ new head pastry Chef, Pas- cal Hainigue.

A devotee of the traditional art of French pastry, Hainigue has created a selection of classics with the most sought-after ingredients. Rich Peruvian chocolate and locally-sourced seasonal fruit are woven delicately into the chef’s succulent recipes — from a daintily-layered opera cake to a pic- turesque Paris-Brest.

Café Antonia is located at 112 rue du Faubourg St Honoré 75008 Paris.
