Singapore’s Orchard Road welcomed a fresh jewel to its urban landscape in June: The Pan Pacific Orchard Hotel. From its inception, this architectural masterpiece, a brainchild of WOHA Architects and developed by UOL, aimed for more than just luxury — it aimed to redefine sustainable urban luxury.
The 23-storey Pan Pacific Orchard redefines Singapore’s skyline. With its sustainable grandeur, it pioneers tropical hospitality through innovative design. Embracing nature, it spans 14,000 sq m with lush greenery, water elements, and a spacious open-air lobby. Environmental dedication is evident in energy-efficient offerings like solar panels, rainwater collection and a bio-digester system.
This nature-loving spirit does not stop at sustainability; with four high-volume terraced environments — Forest, Beach, Garden, and Cloud — Pan Pacific Orchard celebrates nature at every turn through its architecture. Guests can gaze up at 120m green columns rising majestically through the terraces, mirrored ceilings casting reflections of the breathtaking landscapes below, and bask in the natural light that floods the open-air spaces.
Checking into the Forest Terrace, the experience becomes more personal. The hotel’s 347 rooms promise comfort and opulence with amenities like 400-thread cotton bedding and luxury bath products by French fragrance house Diptyque. Pushing the envelope on sustainability, each room boasts in-room filtered water dispensers, with reusable bottles made of ocean-bound material on hand.

Options had the opportunity to stay in the Premier Balcony King room (from $500 a night). The spacious 323 sq ft room offered an uninterrupted view of the iconic Orchard cityscape and the hotel’s verdant gardens below. The room was inviting, with a comfortable bed that promised a good sleep. The rain shower in the bathroom was the crowning jewel, indulging you in a luxurious shower with the Diptyque products.
Pan Pacific Orchard goes beyond traditional hotel offerings. Their Happy Sleepers programme, exclusive to certain room categories, is a testament to their commitment to guest well-being. From a diverse pillow menu catering to all sleeping styles to in-room yoga sessions, guests can truly rejuvenate.
For club guests, the Pacific Club Lounge within the Garden Terrace is the epitome of luxury and truly a plush retreat. Custom furnishings, counters topped with leathered marble from Italy, and a view of the lush lawns make it a retreat worth the visit. The Atelier-in-Residence programme is another innovative venture soon to be launched. Situated on the 11th floor, it will spotlight Singapore-based brands that meld craftsmanship with innovation.

The Beach Terrace, where the pool is located, is one of the main highlights at Pan Pacific Orchard. The pool and its surroundings are designed to mimic being at an actual beach. Although you might be in the heart of bustling Orchard Road, it is just pure serenity at the pool area, giving you the ultimate “beachside” getaway. The hotel will also launch 10 Beach Club Lofts with a private outdoor balcony and direct access to the pool.
Adding to the hotel’s allure is Mosella, a restaurant that interlaces Mediterranean flavours with Peruvian zest. Nestled within the Forest Terrace, the restaurant’s design is an artistic blend of warmth and sophistication. It offers views of surrounding greenery through towering glass windows, and its mirrored column adorned with mosaic tiles sets a luxurious ambience. Under the guidance of Executive Chef Pedro Samper from San Sebastian, Mosella crafts dishes over a charcoal-fired Josper grill, providing a multi-sensory dining spectacle.
Seeking exquisite drinks? Florette bar offers a journey into botanical flavors. Dive into craft cocktails or an evolving champagne menu, all in a luxurious setting to explore a range of tastes.
The Pan Pacific Orchard Hotel isn’t just an addition to Orchard Road but a redefinition of what luxury hotels can and should be. It seamlessly marries sustainability, luxury and architectural grandeur, making it a must-visit for locals and tourists. Whether you are savouring a cocktail at Florette, indulging in Mediterranean-Peruvian cuisine at Mosella or simply lounging in one of the terraced gardens, Pan Pacific Orchard promises an unparalleled experience. It is also perfect for those who want to remain in the city but have a hideaway from the hustle and bustle of the shopping district. The hotel is a blend of luxury, convenience, and dedicated service.
