SINGAPORE (Sept 25): Raffles Education gained as high 31 cents on Monday after The Edge Singapore reported this week (Issue 798) that billionaire businessman Oei Hong Leong had recently increased his stake in the private education provider.

As at 3.02pm, the stock is up 15.7% or 29.5 cents with 10.2 million units traded, making it the third top 20% gainer after ISR Capital and Anchun International.

In a filing on Sept 20, Raffles Education said that Oei had bought just over 6.1 million shares at an average price of 22.43 cents each on Sept 17, bringing his total stake to 12.77%.
