SINGAPORE (Feb 27): The Singapore Exchange Regulation (SGX RegCo) has allowed companies with a Dec 31 financial year-end to hold their annual general meetings (AGMs) by June 30, 2020.

This waiver has been granted following feedback from shareholders who want to participate in and vote at AGMs, but may be concerned about attending large-group meetings amid the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.

The time extension applies to these companies irrespective of their place of business or operations, says SGX RegCo.
