SINGAPORE (Jan 4): Sarine Technologies and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Galatea, are taking legal action against an unnamed manufacturer in Surat, India, for the deliberate under-reporting of rough stone weights and underpayment of amounts owed to Galatea while using the group’s proprietary Galaxy system.

This comes as part of Sarine’s efforts to step up its enforcement initiatives against the fraudulent use of its Galaxy inclusion mapping technology and system, says the group in a filing on Thursday, adding that it intends to make the manufacturer’s identity public after the filing of its intended legal actions in a few weeks’ time.
