SINGAPORE (July 11): Sembcorp Industries has added two operating rooftop solar facilities in Singapore to its global renewable energy portfolio via the acquisition of a 100% stake in Solar C&I Holdings for $3.3 million from REC Solar. 

This strengthens the group's position as a leading energy player in Singapore as well as contributes to its growing international renewable energy portfolio, says the group in a press release on Tuesday.

The acquisition deal was made through Sembcorp's wholly-owned subsidiary Sembcorp Utilities, while the consideration sum paid was funded internally.
