Danish furniture manufacturer Republic of Fritz Hansen celebrates 60 years of its iconic chairs

A stylish home will look even more sophisticated with these three items — The Swan, Egg and Drop statement chairs by Danish furniture manufacturer Republic of Fritz Hansen. This year, the brand celebrates the 60th anniversary of these chairs and as with any classic beauty, there is no need for a major overhaul. Instead, the designers worked around the original designs by Arne Jacobsen, with materials carefully selected for the anniversary editions. Each design comes in a limited edition. 

The Swan, Egg and Drop chairs have an interesting history. They were created in 1958 as chair and couch pieces for the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. Over the years, the chairs gained popularity and other establishments such as the Danmarks Nationalbank bought them.
