SINGAPORE (Oct 9): OCBC bank and StarHub have announced a strategic partnership to tap into data insights and deliver better consumer experiences to their combined customer base of over 5 million.

“This partnership is borne out of the strong belief by both of us that by innovating together, rather than each doing its own thing, we can serve our customers more comprehensively, effectively and efficiently,” says Samuel Tsien, OCBC’s group chief executive officer, at the launch of the partnership.

The two companies will each invest $3 million in research and technology over the next 12 months, with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and connected homes.
