SINGAPORE (March 7): Since his entry into the Oval Office, Donald Trump seems to have cooled quite a bit in comparison to the feisty promises and threats he made during the US presidential campaign and his first month in office.

In DBS Group Research’s view, Trump has been looking more “presidential” of late – especially after having reversed course on several controversial ideas, such as on NATO and key provisions of Obamacare.

“The hope is that it soon includes a reversal in his protectionist rhetoric that has so many in Asia and the US alike worried about a trade war,” writes David Carbon in a Tuesday report.
