SINGAPORE (April 18): United Overseas Bank is partnering with flag carrier Singapore Airlines to offer the KrisFlyer UOB Account, from which the bank sees will help it broaden the types of products for consumers, and to also attract more deposits.

“This is part of our overall deposit gathering strategy,” says UOB’s head of personal financial services Jacquelyn Tan at a briefing earlier today.

The bank aims to attract more than $1.5 billion in additional balances across more than 200,000 of these new accounts over the next five years.
