(May 15): On May 8, several people gathered in a small conference room at 55 Market Street for what turned out to be a rather strange extraordinary general meeting.

The EGM had been called for shareholders of USP Group to vote on three resolutions: to remove company chairman Li Hua from the board; to remove executive director Raphael Tham from the board; and to appoint an individual named Lim Min Hai to the board.
