Sen Yue’s operations in Kuala Lumpur, managed by the company’s subsidiary PNE Micron (Kuala Lumpur) have been suspended from April 14 due to the multiple Covid-19 cases detected on PNE KL’s premises.
The announcement, which was made by Sen Yue’s interim judicial managers on April 16, says the first Covid-19 case was detected on April 11 when a PNE employee tested positive.
Following subsequent polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests found that 62% of all active PNE employees tested positive for the virus.
The group’s employees who have tested positive for Covid-19 are currently reporting to the relevant authorities in Malaysia.

The group says it has informed its customers about the situation and is renegotiating delivery deadlines.
“At this juncture, the group is unable to quantify the extent of the financial impact of the temporary shutdown of the premises on the earnings per share and net asset value per share of the group for the financial year ending Sept 30,” reads the statement.
On this, Sen Yue expects that operations will be suspended till the end of April.
Shares in Sen Yue last traded at 2.2 cents.
