HONG KONG (May 18): Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks closed sharply down on Wednesday in line with a regional sell-off and following big losses on Wall Street.

HONG KONG (May 13): Hong Kong stocks sank almost 1% by the break Friday following a negative lead from Wall Street and Europe, while Shanghai was marginally higher ahead of the release of key Chinese economic data at the weekend.

HONG HONG (May 10): Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks rose Tuesday, in line with a regional rally and following another healthy inflation report out of China.
